How is your October going?

I know it is the season of the viral bugs flying all around us (I was hit by one just last week!) but you know, I actually love October- there is a lovely autumnal vibe in the air (if that is a thing!), the leaves are all sorts of mesmerising reds and yellows and oranges and it is also the start of lots of fun Hindu festivals! So this time of the year, I always find myself feeling grateful for the amazing diversity in our lives- experiencing autumn while also celebrating our culture and our roots!

Anyway, I pop myself back in here because we have been having far too many interesting conversations with charity leaders through our work at TPL and through my work as Chair of Third Sector Leeds. All these conversations and all our work this year has got me to dive deeper into understanding what will help us as sector leaders in this current fragile, volatile world?

September Check-In: Reflecting on Leadership, Boards, and Organisational Culture

As September rolls in, it often feels like the start of a new chapter — schools reopen, routines reset, and the pace picks up. Before we dive headfirst into the whirlwind, it is a great moment to pause and reflect on the heartbeat of our organisations: leadership, boards, and culture.

Over the past few years, we have been deeply involved in impact-driven work with charities, focusing on strengthening Boards, enhancing team dynamics and embedding organisational values. Spring is here! (well-kinda!) and I have just firmed up my plans of launching a new dance based community project that will run till the end of this year AND it also happens to be The Creativity and Wellbeing week! :)

And since it is the Creativity and Wellbeing week, I thought it was about time to tell you a little bit more about my Creative practice and how this creative practice has helped me embed a Community impact model into our business for good- TPL Experiences!

Here is a little snippet of my creative journey- I am a classical Indian Dancer and a creative producer, developing creative wellbeing programmes that help reduce social isolation and increase public participation in diverse arts.
