Building Psychologically Safe Workspaces: The Key to Thriving Teams

Hello, lovely readers!

How are you? Is it getting colder where you are? I can definitely feel the Autumn vibes and I must (secretly) admit that I am loving it, no wait that is a lie- I am ‘mostly’ loving it!

Today though, I want to talk about a a theme that I have been discussing greatly with my clients recently- Psychological Safety!

We all know the feeling – that stomach-churning dread when conflict arises at work and you wish you could stay in bed rather than dealing with it. Whether you are having issues with a colleague or managing team members who just do not see eye to eye, it can be awkward and difficult to manage and it is not something we are usually taught how to handle.

September Check-In: Reflecting on Leadership, Boards, and Organisational Culture

As September rolls in, it often feels like the start of a new chapter — schools reopen, routines reset, and the pace picks up. Before we dive headfirst into the whirlwind, it is a great moment to pause and reflect on the heartbeat of our organisations: leadership, boards, and culture.

I made it to the Future List at the Biggest celebration of Gender Diversity in Europe!!

I am genuinely over the moon to share with you that I and TPL Experiences made it to the Northern Power Women’s Future list 2025- this list celebrates those who are leading the way and are role models of change.

This year the awards had over 1600 nominations (the most they have ever had!) and so to make it to the Top 50 is such a huge honor for me!

You can check out the list here- https://wearepower.net/awards/future-list-2025

And what an uplifting and empowering night it was at the Northern Power Women awards night in Manchester- a room packed with over 1000 changemakers, allies and the biggest business leaders of the North was such an immense experience to be a part of!

I also think that such celebrations are possible only because of the vision and support of some incredible trailblazers and I definitely feel that Simone Roche has created something truly special here! Equally, a massive shout out to organisations like #Barclays and #BankofAmerica and #Accenture who have supported this awards along with many other brilliant sponsors.
